NYOH Community Cancer Foundation
Ways to Give
The NYOH Community Cancer Foundation relies on the generosity of individuals, community organizations, local businesses, our patients and their loved ones, as well as NYOH providers and staff to help fulfill our mission. We invite you to join our community that is greater than cancer.
Give In Memory or In Lieu of Flowers
Celebrate the life of your loved one through a gift to our Foundation. We are honored to help other cancer patients in your loved one’s memory.
Honor an NYOH Superhero
Thank an NYOH staff member, nurse, or provider who’s made a difference in your life or life of a loved one. Share a special message with your NYOH Superhero and let them know about the difference they’ve made.
Discuss Planned Giving and Assets
Thoughtful gifts of all size will directly support local cancer patients. If you’d like to discuss planned giving and assets, speak with your financial advisor, then contact us.

Sponsor Our Events or Programs
The NYOH Community Cancer Foundation hosts signature fundraising events such as Courage & Cancer: An Evening of Stories in the spring and Rock Your Style® in the fall, as well as patient education activities throughout the year. A variety of sponsor levels and benefits are available.
Give the Gift of Gratitude
If you are an NYOH patient or loved one who wants to express your thanks for compassionate, kind, and expert care received at NYOH, consider a donation in their honor to the NYOH Community Cancer Foundation. We can pass along any words of gratitude you have for them, but will not disclose your donation amount. Your gift not only provides a meaningful way to say thank you, but helps a fellow cancer patient through our financial assistance and patient education efforts.
Volunteer with Us
Board and Committees: We are looking for kind and enthusiastic individuals to join our Board of Directors, event committees, or other efforts to be ambassadors for our Foundation.
Assemble Patient Care Bags: By donating a care bag with small items and a kind note, you can provide some encouragement to an NYOH patient starting treatment. View this list of recommended items to include in bags, which help provide comfort, care, and entertainment during long hours of treatment.
Create Chemo Port Pillows: Lend your sewing skills for this simple, yet meaningful project. The NYOH Community Cancer Foundation will distribute them to patients receiving cancer treatment at NYOH sites. For a supply list and suggested instructions, view this flyer.
NYOH Employee Giving
If you work for NYOH, we invite you to donate today: you might see the benefits of your gift in the next patient you see.
Giving a recurring gift through payroll deduction is one of the simplest ways to donate: complete our online form for NYOH employees only and specify the amount you would like automatically deducted from each paycheck. The Foundation will work with payroll to set-up your donation per pay period. Have more questions? View this Q&A for NYOH employees.
Why Choose Payroll Deduction?
Flexibility to choose the recurring amount deducted from each paycheck (min of $5/pay period) which works within your budget
No need to remember to write a check or submit your credit card info
No transaction or online processing fees
Provide a predictable and steady donation source to the Foundation throughout the year
Spread your gift over time, in smaller, more financially manageable amounts
Receive an annual thank you gift from the Foundation
“I’ve worked in oncology for more than 30 years, and I’ve witnessed the stress patients experience due to the financial impact cancer can have. I love donating to the Foundation because I know that all the money goes to help patients in our community when they need it most.”
