NYOH Community Cancer Foundation

Peer Support Program

The NYOH Community Cancer Foundation is excited to announce a new peer mentoring and support program.  Through our partnership with Imerman Angels, cancer patients and caregivers in the Capital Region can connect with others going through a similar experience as a mentor or support seeker.

Imerman Angels is a national, cancer support nonprofit providing personalized connections which enable one-on-one support to all cancer fighters, survivors, previvors AND caregivers across the nation and internationally.

NOTE: This page is still under construction! Please contact Keri Alonzo with any questions.

Become a Peer Mentor

Ready to share the insights you’ve gained with someone newly diagnosed, recently recurred, or struggling with their own cancer experience?

Sign up to become a Mentor Angel.  You’ll complete an application and access virtual training materials.

Request Peer Support

At no cost to you, Imerman Angels will match you with someone with the same cancer type, cancer mutation/risk, and life experience.

You can request to be paired with someone who lives in the Capital Region.
